W/cm?? describes how much wattage the CPU is dissipating through 1 cm?? of die area. The higher that number goes, the harder it takes the heat sink to remove that heat - at reasonable speed.
Tr.density is "transistor density" measured in transistors per mm?? die area. But remember that L2 cache is generally packed a lot more dense than the CPU core logic. Especially Intel pack their L2 caches very dense.
